**THERE IS A PRE-REQUISITE TO TAKE THIS COURSE. YOU MUST SHOW A CERTIFICATE/PROOF OF BASIC PISTOL.**
You must have completed the PPITH student course before registering for this instructor class. Please contact us at 240-394-9113 to discuss this prior to registering. This is a nine-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 150 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn how to teach the PPITH to include: basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students should bring their NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook and their Basic Pistol Handbook.

This class is relevant to those individuals who want to be PPITH instructors and those who want to also teach Personal Protection Outside the Home.
The instructor candidates teach most of this course. Presentations cover every dynamic in the PPITH student course.
Instructor candidates learn about EVERY PPITH drill and why it is critical for the students to understand these drills for their personal protection.
