This course is at least eight hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing, and kneeling positions; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development. Bring your own lunch, hearing, and eye protection.

The class is relevant to anyone wanting to learn about all the various types of rifles, historical and new.
We will cover rolling block, falling block, lever action, bolt action, slide action, and semi-automatic rifles. I have guns stretching back to the 1800’s for you to interact with.
You will qualify from both the sitting and free-arm standing position at 25 yards. You can certainly bring your own rifle to learn on it. That’s always the best solution.
