Advanced Tactical Training and Defense

This course is at least 4 hours long and meets the minimum training requirements to apply for your Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL). We will cover a variety of topics, including different handgun types, the parts of a handgun, how to operate a handgun safely, ammunition, aiming, fundamentals of shooting, how to safely transport and store your gun in and outside of the home, laws regarding handguns, and how to clean a handgun. As always, our focus is on safety first as well as being an ethical and responsible gun owner. You DO NOT need to own a gun to take this class. No V-neck shirts. Class will start at 9:00 AM at:

This class is relevant for the individual who wants to learn about gun safety and Maryland firearm laws to apply for the Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL).
Students will learn about safe gun handling, parts and mechanisms of action of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, fundamentals of marksmanship, federal and Maryland firearm laws.
At the range, students will learn to apply marksmanship fundamentals to shooting a pistol.
